There are no casinos and not much night life, other than some good reggae music and occasional dancing, but Salt Cay has a lot to offer in the areas of activities. Exploring the island is always a treat. You will find standing remains of plantations from the early 1800's and Salt ponds from when Salt Cay was the largest harvester of salt in the world. Hiking and shell collecting are favorites, our beaches are empty as we do not have large numbers of tourists. For the nature lover, there are several types of birds, including nesting ospreys. Our islands also have large Iguanas. Resting in the hammocks, reading a good book and listening to the ocean in front of your house is always a popular activity!
