Come to the Vista's on Salt Cay and discover the holiday you have always imagined. Salt Cay, in the Turks and Caicos, mystical in its quiet, The Vista's joyous in its peaceful serenity. Your own beach, your own place, your own time. And quite possibility, the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world. Salt Cay is a tiny island (3 square miles) in the Turks & Caicos Islands that for years was one of the largest salt producers in the world. And now, a place where you can experience the Caribbean as you imagined it. Have longed to find and experience it. It's a place that rests gently in the back of your mind and after a visit makes the day-to-day a better place. Salt Cay is remote. There are a few stores which carry only the basics. You can find delicious homemade bread; flan and fresh fish can usually be had with a trip to Deanne's Dock. The kitchen at The Vistas is well furnished and we try to provide a good supply of basic items such as spices, flour, oil and such. You can order food and beverage items that will be procured from Grand Turk prior to your arrival, and food can be brought with you. Coolers are permitted on airlines but no dry ice. (There are weight restrictions on the flights to Salt Cay). There are several restaurants on this island and we can highly recommend Island Thyme. For the nature lover, there are several types of birds including osprey nests for bird watchers. Hiking and shell collecting are among some favorite pastimes as our beaches are deserted as we do not have large numbers of tourists. We have beautiful reefs to snorkel and world class scuba diving with walls starting at 35 ft. and going down to 7000 ft.! Go to both Grand Turk and Salt Cay walls to dive and make available a trip into Grand Turk for those who want to experience both islands. January, February and March is the height of whale watching season.
